About The Position

The Assistant Director of Graduate and Transfer Admissions serves as a key resource for prospective students, providing personalized guidance and support throughout the admissions process while helping create a seamless and engaging enrollment experience. This role combines student-centered service with operational excellence and offers the opportunity to collaborate across multiple university departments, build meaningful relationships with students and partners, and contribute to strategic enrollment initiatives. As part of the Enrollment Management team, you will play an important role in shaping the future student experience while supporting recruitment, admissions operations, data integrity, and transfer initiatives for graduate and transfer populations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in admissions, higher education, or a related student services environment.
  • Strong customer service, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain complex admissions processes and policies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across departments and teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and student information or CRM systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations and demonstrate cultural competence in student interactions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in higher education admissions or enrollment management.
  • Familiarity with admissions technologies such as Campus Solutions, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of graduate, transfer, and international admissions processes.
  • Experience with transfer credit evaluation, course equivalency review, or transfer portal management.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for graduate and transfer students, providing guidance and support throughout the admissions process via phone, email, virtual meetings, and in-person interactions.
  • Review and process applications, render admissions decisions, and maintain accurate applicant records using systems such as Campus Solutions, CRM/Salesforce, Imaging, and Workflow.
  • Counsel prospective, admitted, and non-admissible students on admissions requirements, program options, financial aid resources, and university policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments including Financial Aid, Records, Advising, ISSS, and the Registrar’s Office to support student enrollment and progression.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy across CRM and related systems through regular audits, reporting, and quality assurance measures.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of transfer guides, transfer portal data, and course equivalency information to support prospective transfer students.
  • Represent the Office of Graduate and Transfer Admissions at recruitment events, information sessions, open houses, preview days, orientations, and college fairs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with prospective students, families, college counselors, and international consultants to support recruitment initiatives.
  • Stay informed on institutional updates, admissions trends, and developments within higher education and the aviation industry that may impact enrollment efforts.
  • Support additional departmental initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.
