About The Position

This role involves managing assigned Day Habilitation sites and supervising staff to ensure programs are adequately staffed and services are delivered in accordance with treatment plans. The position requires maintaining communication with other departments, ensuring confidentiality, and adhering to company values and policies. The Assistant Director will also complete required orientation and perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and senior management.

Requirements

Valid Driver's license.
Ability travel throughout Nassau and all five NYC boroughs.
Bachelor's degree and/or substantial related experience.
Knowledge of OPWDD rules and regulations.
Excellent writing skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Supervisory experience.
Ability to communicate effectively with others and individuals served.

Nice To Haves

OPWDD Supported Employment experience preferred AND/OR knowledge of Pathways to Employment.

Responsibilities

Manage assigned Day Habilitation sites.
Supervise Day Habilitation staff.
Interview/Hire staff.
Ensure programs are adequately staffed.
Provides sufficient oversight and observation to ensure that the actual delivery of services is in accordance with treatment plans.
Maintain and inform Day Program Supervisor of all problems and suggestions within the Programs.
Communicate with other QSAC departments regarding individuals we serve.
Punctuality and regular attendance is expected.
Maintain individual/family confidentiality.
Commitment to company values and adherence to policies.
Complete required QSAC orientation.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and/or senior management.
