About The Position

The Assistant Director of Creative Services (Revenue Content) serves as the department's primary creative producer focused on revenue-generating initiatives. This position is responsible for producing high-quality video, photography, graphic design and digital content that supports ticket sales, sponsorship activation, development, fan engagement and the overall growth of the USD Athletics brand. The position will be assigned and responsible for specific sports, while keeping the revenue generation priorities at the forefront. Working collaboratively with marketing and communications, sports information, sponsorship, ticket sales and external partners, this position develops compelling visual storytelling while prioritizing projects that directly contribute to departmental revenue goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum one (1) year of relevant experience in marketing, promotions or a related field is required.
  • Experience working in college athletics, live event operations, or related environments.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed in support of athletic events.
  • Required to travel to select off-campus events.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
  • Persons offered employment in this position will be required to provide official education transcripts for degree verification purposes.

Nice To Haves

  • Two or more years of experience in sports marketing or event presentation preferred.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere) and/or other creative tools.
  • Familiarity with game production software such as Sound Director.
  • Supervisory experience with student staff or interns.

Responsibilities

  • Produce video, graphic and digital assets supporting season tickets, group sales and single-game ticket campaigns.
  • Develop creative materials for sponsorship sales presentations and partnership proposals.
  • Create sponsor fulfillment assets including social graphics, in-venue creative, digital advertisements, ESPN+ promotional content.
  • Produce behind-the-scenes content that increases fan engagement and drives revenue opportunities.
  • Collaborate with JMI Sports and internal revenue staff to develop partnership assets.
  • Collaborate with the development unit to support fundraising efforts for USD Athletics.
  • Capture photography and video at athletic events, practices, community appearances and special events.
  • Produce promotional videos highlighting student-athletes, coaches, facilities and the USD Athletics experience.
  • Manage editing, color correction, motion graphics and final production of video projects.
  • Build and maintain a department-wide digital asset library.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of student workers and marketing interns.
  • Support assigned sports with creative content throughout the year.
  • Assist marketing and communications team with major campaigns, championships and special events.
  • Collaborate on content planning surrounding key athletic initiatives and departmental priorities.
  • Design graphics for social media, marketing campaigns, digital advertising and athletic promotions.
  • Develop templates that improve efficiency for recurring sponsorship and marketing initiatives.
  • Assist with creative direction for new branding campaigns and revenue-focused storytelling.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all visual communications.
  • Assist with creative planning meetings and project timelines.
  • Manage equipment and creative production workflow.
  • Stay current on creative trends, software and best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
