We’re looking for an experienced healthcare leader to join our team as an Assistant Clinical Director. The Role The Assistant Clinical Director is a key member of the clinical leadership team, supporting the Clinical Director and Administrator in the delivery of safe, high-quality home health services. This role combines clinical leadership, staff development, patient care, and operational support. Depending on census and agency needs, the Assistant Clinical Director may also carry a patient caseload and provide visits while balancing clinical and leadership responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Current professional license in Idaho appropriate to the role; RN preferred.
  • 3–5 years of healthcare or home health experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of home health, community health, and patient care principles.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and develop clinical staff.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Registered by the state(s) where currently practicing.
  • Three to five years of experience in health care/home care, preferred.
  • Two years’ experience in a supervisory position, preferred.
  • Knowledge and ability to apply community health principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of Agency policies and procedures.
  • Ability to supervise, guide and develop skills and performance of service personnel.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • Ability to work with individuals.
  • Ability to enlist cooperation of many people in furthering a program.
  • Ability to assist in evaluating personnel per Agency policy.
  • Monitors probationary period for new employees.
  • Ability to deal effectively with high levels of stress.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Clinical Director in overseeing home health services and ensuring quality patient care.
  • Help develop, implement, and maintain clinical standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to clinical and service personnel.
  • Assist with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, evaluating, and developing staff.
  • Support staffing decisions and coordinate personnel to meet patient and agency needs.
  • Help ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, state regulations, and accreditation standards.
  • Support coordination of patient care, referrals, and interdisciplinary services.
  • Monitor patient and family needs and help ensure plans of care are appropriately implemented.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and role model for staff.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, patients, families, employees, and community partners.
  • Investigate and report concerns related to patient care, safety, incidents, or unusual occurrences.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional standards at all times.
