The Assistant Director of Clinical Services is responsible for establishing, implementing, and evaluating goals and objectives for hospice services to ensure quality patient care aligned with Tapestry's mission. This role involves assisting in the direction of nursing operations, supervising clinical staff, supporting quality initiatives, evaluating patient care delivery, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes. The Assistant Director works closely with the Director of Clinical Services and leadership to oversee nursing operations, support staff development, address patient care concerns, and maintain relationships with patients, families, referral partners, and healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will provide leadership and clinical support in the Ringgold and Trenton territories and assist with coverage needs across the service area.

Requirements

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Georgia.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience required.
  • Knowledge of terminally ill patients and their families, hospice philosophy, palliative care services, community resources, documentation requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, accreditation standards, and healthcare compliance requirements.
  • CPR Certification through the American Heart Association required.
  • Current automobile insurance and valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to effectively utilize computers, mobile devices, copier, scanner, and other office equipment.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other healthcare software systems.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively prioritize responsibilities.
  • Ability to manage emotional situations with professionalism and compassion.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, lift, and carry up to 25 pounds.

  • Hospice or palliative care experience preferred.

Responsibilities
