About The Position

Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach is seeking an Assistant Director of Catering and Events to join its Catering and Events Team. The hotel is an oceanfront property with 290 rooms, more than 10,000 square feet of meeting space, five food and beverage outlets, a pool terrace, fitness center, and spa.

The role partners closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing to drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and deliver exceptional corporate, social, and wedding events. It provides leadership and guidance to Catering Sales Managers and Event Managers and supports coordination from business development through event execution. The position also assists with catering strategy, operations, sales support, financial management, team culture, and talent development.

Responsibilities

• Assist in driving innovative catering strategies and refining processes to deliver high-quality experiences.
• Assist in leading catering operations and engaging consistently with internal stakeholders, team members, guests, and suppliers.
• Apply catering industry expertise and best practices, stay current on event trends, and represent Hilton in professional associations.
• Assist with the sales process and participate in client site inspections to grow catering business and align solutions with Hilton standards.
• Assist with budgets, forecasting, and cost reporting while optimizing staffing, space usage, and resource allocation.
• Support a collaborative, high-performing team and foster a guest- and team member-centric environment in keeping with Hilton’s values.
• Support talent development, career growth, and mentoring; maintain an open-door policy to foster engagement, resolve conflicts, and support a productive workplace.
• Partner with the Director of Sales and Marketing to drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and deliver events across corporate, social, and wedding segments.
• Provide leadership and guidance to Catering Sales Managers and Event Managers and support coordination from business development through event execution.
