About The Position

The Assistant Director of Admissions is responsible for conducting recruitment, selection, and yield activities for assigned application pools. The primary focus is on optimizing applicant and advisor relationships and improving funnel conversion rates to achieve goals related to headcount, quality, revenue, and composition. This is a highly collaborative role that requires working with academic partners, administrative partners, and Jefferson Enrollment Management colleagues. The Assistant Director directly manages application pools and supports other team members in their management of application pools.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Conduct student recruitment activities including off-campus, on-campus, and virtual events/visits.
  • Conduct activity related to converting individuals from prospects to applicants and from incomplete to complete applicants.
  • Conduct activity related to converting admitted and deposited students to enrolled students.
  • Ensure that the flow of applicants through the enrollment funnel supports the stated goals; manage offer targets, waitlists, melt-indicators, etc.
  • Develop strategies to address assigned sub-populations (i.e. athletes, re-entries, cross-campus transfers, etc.) under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Collaborate extensively with academic and administrative colleagues in the recruitment, selection, and yield of new students.
  • Provide support for junior staff assigned to the team.
  • Contribute to efforts related to planning, policy & procedure development, and quality assurance & effectiveness as a member of the Admissions team.
  • Other duties as assigned.
