About The Position

Berklee College of Music and Boston Conservatory at Berklee are looking for a high-energy, tech-savvy, and hospitality-minded Assistant Director of Admissions, Auditions, and Interviews. In this role, you aren’t just managing a process; you are the architect of the first major milestone in a young artist’s career. From coordinating global "On The Road" auditions to mastering the technical flow of online Zoom events, you will ensure every applicant receives red-carpet VIP treatment. Requirements

  • 1–3 years of relatable experience in admissions, event management, or customer service.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and Zoom is highly preferred.
  • Comfortable acting as a technical troubleshooter during high-stakes events.
  • Strong administrative and time-management skills; you thrive when managing multiple moving parts simultaneously.
  • Articulate and professional written and oral communication skills, with the maturity to handle sensitive student counseling issues.
  • Music training and experience are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee operations for Audition & Interview (A&I) events held on campus, on the road, and online.
  • Manage contracts, invoices, and financial records for domestic and international trips.
  • Serve as the primary technical resource for online auditions, leveraging Zoom to connect with talent across the globe.
  • Conduct A&I ROI reporting, analyzing cost-per-matriculant and evaluation ratings to refine recruitment strategies.
  • Hire, train, and supervise a team of student workers and temporary staff to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Prepare all materials for on-campus events, from sight-reading books to catering and vendor set-up.
  • Utilize Salesforce, FormAssembly, and Filemaker Pro to manage A&I databases and generate actionable reports.
  • Partner with faculty, Public Safety, and Enrollment Marketing to ensure all stakeholders have an optimal experience.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for families, counseling them on audition formats, scholarship eligibility, financial aid, and the full admissions lifecycle.
  • Ensure the applicant experience exceeds that of any competing institution through proactive relationship building and professional empathy.
