About The Position

The Assistant Director, MBA Program at the Sloan School of Management will be part of a collaborative, student-centered MBA Program Office. This role involves designing, leading, and delivering high-impact advising, onboarding, and communications initiatives to support the academic, personal, and community experience of MBA students. The Assistant Director will serve as the primary advisor for one student cohort per class and lead several flagship student support and engagement programs throughout the full student lifecycle, from onboarding to graduation. This role requires managing complex, cross-functional projects, partnering closely with colleagues across the MBA Program Office, MIT Sloan, and the Institute, and modeling inclusive, proactive, and student-focused leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of two years of experience in student services, program management, advising, or a related administrative role
  • Demonstrated project management experience leading complex, cross-functional projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience developing and executing communications strategies
  • Experience and interest in designing marketing and visual communications
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and AI tools
  • Comfort learning new systems and platforms

  • A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in student services, program management, advising, or a related administrative role
  • Master’s degree
  • Experience working in a higher education or non-profit environment
  • Advising, coaching or mentoring experience, with the ability to support a diverse and high-performing student population
