About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting in the creation, coordination, and implementation of marketing and promotions for all of North Texas intercollegiate athletic programs. The role emphasizes enhancing the game day experience, increasing attendance, and fostering student and community involvement. It is an integral component in the workflow for many projects, specifically for artwork creation, social media, and the day-to-day oversight of student interns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assists development of new, creative strategies each season to market and promote the 16 Athletic Teams.
  • Assists in managing and developing collateral materials for assigned Olympic Sports.
  • Assists in the supervision and management of all athletic marketing and promotions interns.
  • Coordinates and manages social media efforts and initiatives.
  • Enhances Social media marketing by researching and implementing latest trends.
  • Assists in all aspects of game day and special event management.
  • Stays current on NCAA and conference rules and regulations that pertain to everyday duties.
  • Assists in maintaining and developing athletic related, student-oriented programing.
  • Assists in sponsor fulfillment through video board, public address and game promotions.
  • Assists with Athletic Department special events and projects.
