About The Position

The University of North Texas competes as a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the American Athletic Conference. North Texas’ athletic programs are classified as NCAA Division I, the largest and highest division among all colleges and universities. The 46,000 square-foot Athletic Center located off South Bonnie Brae Street is the centerpiece of North Texas athletics. Athletics strives to conduct a competitive athletics program that promotes faculty, staff, student and community affiliation and participation with the North Texas Athletics. Provide facilities which attract the highest level of talent and allow student-athletes to perform at the highest level in practice and during competition. Position is responsible for assisting in the creation, coordination, and implementation of marketing and promotions for all of North Texas intercollegiate athletic programs. Emphasis on enhancing the game day experience, increasing attendance, and fostering student and community involvement. Position is an integral component in the work flow for many projects specifically for artwork creation, social media, and the day to day oversight of student interns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in in related field and two years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assists development of new, creative strategies each season to market and promote the 16 Athletic Teams.
  • Assists in managing and developing collateral materials for assigned Olympic Sports.
  • Assists in the supervision and management of all athletic marketing and promotions interns.
  • Coordinates and manages social media efforts and initiatives.
  • Enhances Social media marketing by researching and implementing latest trends.
  • Assists in all aspects of game day and special event management.
  • Stays current on NCAA and conference rules and regulations that pertain to everyday duties.
  • Assists in maintaining and developing athletic related, student-oriented programing.
  • Assists in sponsor fulfillment through video board, public address and game promotions.
  • Assists with Athletic Department special events and projects.
