Assistant Director in Training
About The Position
My Gym Frisco is looking for an Assistant Director in Training. This role is not a desk job and is not a typical childcare position. The ideal candidate will bring energy and eventually help manage the facility. The position involves learning My Gym from the ground up, with a gradual increase in leadership and operational responsibilities as training progresses. The career path includes training, shift leadership, Assistant Director, and future leadership opportunities, with a strong emphasis on internal promotion. This role is for someone with the right personality, work ethic, leadership potential, and willingness to learn.
Requirements
- Kids naturally gravitate toward you
- Comfortable being loud, energetic, goofy, and engaging
- Proactive in noticing and addressing what needs to be done
- Enjoy leading people but can also take direction and feedback
- Confident talking with adults AND children
- Comfortable with sales and genuinely enjoy helping people find what they need
- Dependable and understand team reliance
- Ability to handle being busy and switch gears quickly
- Desire for professional development beyond 'just a job'
- Experience working with children is strongly preferred

Responsibilities
- Teach high-energy fitness, gymnastics, and play-based classes for children ages 6 weeks–10 years
- Host birthday parties, Camps, Parents' Night Out, and special events
- Build relationships with families and create an experience they want to come back to every week
- Turn interested families into happy My Gym members
- Lead shifts and help keep the gym running smoothly
- Train, encourage, and eventually help coach other team members
- Help manage family communication and customer service
- Support enrollment, retention, and overall gym growth
- Keep our facility safe, clean, organized, and ready for fun
