The Assistant Director for Prevention Education, Health Promotion & Wellbeing in the Georgetown University Health Education Services Office plays a pivotal role in establishing a culture of community care and well-being for students. The incumbent’s primary responsibilities will be focused on: 1) the develop and implement health promotion programming, 2) manage Health Education Service’s peer education program and corresponding initiatives, 3) co-lead the implementation and administration of Georgetown’s mandatory bystander intervention program; 4) administer online education courses for incoming undergraduate and graduate students; 5) oversee a new well-being space in Healy G; and 6) establish health programming and wellbeing initiatives on the Capitol Campus. This position will help coordinate and assess health promotion initiatives related to various health and wellness topics, including but not limited to alcohol and other drugs, sexual health, mental health (anxiety, depression, sleep), and interpersonal violence. The incumbent will also serve as a liaison with other university departments, campus and community partners, and student organizations as needed.
