Requirements

  • An earned doctorate from a nationally recognized and accredited institution of higher education conferred by the start of employment
  • An unencumbered Arkansas registered nurse (RN) license or eligibility for State of Arkansas licensure
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collegially with students, staff, and faculty
  • Experience with inter-professional collaborative education, scholarship, and/or practice
  • At least five years of professional nursing experience
  • At least two years of nursing education experience
  • Eligible to hold an unencumbered RN license with the Arkansas State Board of Nursing and secured by the first date of employment
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment

Responsibilities

  • Providing forward-thinking leadership in planning, implementing, and evaluating online undergraduate programs in the Eleanor Mann School of Nursing (EMSON).
  • Assisting with development, implementation, and ongoing assessment of online LPN-BSN and RN-BSN program initiatives.
  • Providing oversight of online undergraduate curriculum and didactic and clinical practicum experiences.
  • Serving as the first line of administrative contact for escalated student concerns within the online undergraduate programs.
  • Providing support to online undergraduate faculty and assisting with course assignments.
  • Supporting the program in maintaining compliance with accrediting and regulatory bodies.
  • Providing oversight for monthly academic program committee meetings.
  • Bringing forward issues to the EMSON faculty through the shared governance model for review and approval.
