The Assistant Director of Facilities Maintenance is a highly operational role responsible for the coordination, execution, and oversight of daily maintenance activities across the University’s building systems and trades. This position ensures reliable building performance, regulatory compliance, and effective work execution. This position directly manages the work of in-house maintenance staff and a select group of contracted services personnel performing electrical, mechanical, carpentry, painting, and locksmith duties. While the Director of Facilities Maintenance maintains overall organizational leadership and drives strategic initiatives, this role focuses on implementing operational priorities, supporting supervisors, and ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery. The Assistant Director serves as the primary operational partner to the Sr. Director and acts on their behalf when assigned. Position requires exceptional teamwork and will serve as a key contributor on the Facilities Maintenance Team. This position requires participation in on-call rotation and the ability to respond to after-hours and emergency situations as needed.
