ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, EVS 2ND SHIFT
About The Position
Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, provides specialized support services to the healthcare industry, including environmental services. The Assistant Director, EVS assists the Director in overseeing the facility’s operational needs and serves as a liaison between the sector and the client, providing a high level of service. This role establishes and reviews staff work standards and procedures, plans staffing schedules and assignments, and participates in personnel decisions. It also inspects and evaluates the facility, coordinates with other departments, and schedules major project work while ensuring adequate staffing and supplies.
Requirements
- Four-year degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong work ethic, drive, and initiative for quality and customer service.
- Ability to use a participative approach to managing staff.
- Ability to function appropriately under stress, organize and prioritize tasks, and develop budgets with a complete understanding of facility needs and requirements.
- Excellent stress-management, administrative, organizational, and follow-through skills with associates and clients.
Nice To Haves
- At least three years of additional relevant experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Establish and review standards and work procedures for staff in accordance with facility policies and practices.
- Plan work schedules, hours, work areas, and job duties to ensure adequate staffing.
- Interview, select, hire, evaluate, and recommend termination of personnel in accordance with facility standards.
- Conduct regular facility inspections and evaluations and recommend action items.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and communicate with other departments to coordinate activities.
- Schedule major project work and ensure adequate staff and supplies are available.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
