Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Fashion, Textiles or Surface Pattern Design
  • Internships or related design experience; some or all specific to print & textile design
  • Must provide digital portfolio of work
  • Knowledge of technical print design development techniques and commercialization
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to hand draw and paint in various mediums
  • Strong design and conceptual skills; strong sense of style, color and taste level.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in PLM preferred

Responsibilities

  • Alongside the Sr. Designer & Sr. Design Director, responsible for supporting the development of seasonal print, pattern and graphics from research and concept through to execution
  • Accurately create factory ready specs including: creating repeat tiles and color separating in Photoshop/Illustrator.
  • Ensure that the print charts/walls/archives/boards in working order & up to date for all teams to use as a reference
  • Work closely with Product Development to partner on developing the product
  • Collaborate with other key cross-functional partners throughout the design process.
  • Execute print layouts, develop and execute seasonal print and textile designs
  • Develop colorways and layouts
  • Responsible for design creation of artwork - painting, digital as well as cleaning of purchased artworks.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and highly collaborative environment, with the ability to juggle multiple seasons at one time and track development deadlines.
  • Work on T-shirts/Soft Accessory/Pre- collection and runway categories
  • Support the day to day of the print department.
