About The Position

The Assistant Dean, University Advising role requires a Master's degree and at least two years of experience in advising, counseling, or related fields within a higher education setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The position requires an established record of accomplishment in promoting student development programs and building positive relationships. Excellent interpersonal, human relations, teaching/presenting, and problem-solving skills are essential. The ideal candidate will possess a collaborative disposition and the ability to think both critically and strategically, along with strong quantitative and analytical skills.

Requirements

• Master’s degree required
• At least two or more years of experience in advising, counseling, or in related fields in a higher education setting or equivalent combination of education and experience
• An established record of accomplishment promoting student development programs and building positive relationships
• Excellent interpersonal, human relations, teaching/presenting and problem-solving skills
• A collaborative disposition and posses the ability to think both critically and strategically
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills

Nice To Haves

• 2-3 years advising, counselor or comparable experience
• Experience with data systems, such as Ellucian Banner and EAB /Navigate, and Degree Works
