The Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University invites applications for an Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, a 12-month position with a 50% FTE commitment. Reporting to the Associate Dean for Student Affairs, the Assistant Dean will be a valued member of the Office of Student Affairs leadership team and play an important role in supporting the success, development, and well-being of our medical students. The Assistant Dean works closely with the Associate Dean for Student Affairs to implement, coordinate, and continuously enhance programs and services that support students throughout their medical education. This includes initiatives focused on: Academic success and student support, Personal and professional development, Career exploration and preparation, Student well-being and wellness, A positive, inclusive, and supportive educational experience. This is a highly collaborative role with significant direct engagement with medical students. The Assistant Dean partners with faculty, staff, course and clerkship leadership, and colleagues across the School of Medicine and University to help create an environment in which students can thrive. The Assistant Dean may maintain, as appropriate, teaching responsibilities in School of Medicine courses or clerkships, provided those responsibilities do not involve the academic evaluation of students.
