About The Position

This position is for a Production Associate - Corrugator with a pay rate of $21.83. A sign-on bonus of $500 is offered after 30 days and another $500 after 6 months. The role involves a rotating shift or nights and is located in Houston, MS. The successful candidate will learn the duties of an assistant and/or machine operator, with the potential to be promoted to the next position level when a vacancy arises. This role requires working at a fast pace, as machinery can run up to speeds of 360 pieces per minute, and involves working in close proximity to electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical energy sources. The job also includes maintaining a clean work environment and interpreting safety rules and operating manuals.

Requirements

High school diploma or state registered GED preferred.
Ability to read factory orders.
Accurately read tape measures, gauges and other test equipment.
Be able to work in a team environment.
Must be available to work rotating shifts weekends, and overtime.

Responsibilities

Set up the machine according to machine specific procedures.
Make necessary adjustments during set up and run to insure quality work.
Monitor quality throughout the production run.
Complete the box Quality check required on each order.
Follow all Lock out and Try procedures.
Enter production data into computer.
Keep machine from jam ups.
Counting and stacking finished product.
Report significant and major mechanical failure to department supervisor immediately.
Work at a fast pace.
Ensure correct unit configuration per customer requirements.
Clean up housekeeping procedures such as blowing down the machine, wiping off shafts, cleaning ink systems, vacuuming and sweeping the machine area, and picking up and shredding miscellaneous scrap.
Work rotating shifts and or 3rd shift.
Work overtime and weekends as required.
Interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals, etc.
Read a tape measure up to 1/16.
