About The Position
Assistant Cook needed for School Food Service program in the Hasbrouck Heights, NJ area. This is a full-time position for the 2026/2027 school year, starting in September. The working hours are from 7:30 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with no weekends or holidays. Summers are off.
Requirements
- Must have food service cooking experience
- Must be able to obtain proper documentation to work in NJ schools
- Ability to work in a fast pace team environment
Nice To Haves
- ServSafe® certification
- NSLP experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Follow all safety and cleanliness procedures
- Must use personal protective equipment at all times
- Preparing hot and cold entrees according to NSLP guidelines
- Serving in a cafeteria setting
- POS/ cashier experience
