About The Position

Assistant Cook Part-Time | Day Shift | No Nights or Weekends Looking for a kitchen role with a steady schedule and a healthier work-life balance? Hein & Dine is hiring an Assistant Cook to help prepare fresh meals in our in-house kitchen at William S. Hein & Co., Inc. This is not a traditional restaurant role. You’ll work Monday through Thursday during the day, with no nights, no weekends, and no late-service rush. Our small kitchen team serves breakfast, lunch, and take-home dinners for employees and building tenants in a supportive, organized environment.

Requirements

• Commercial kitchen or food-service experience
• Basic knife skills and safe food-handling knowledge
• Good organization and time-management skills
• A dependable, positive, team-focused attitude
• Ability to work independently when needed

Nice To Haves

• Formal culinary training is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prep ingredients and assist with daily meal preparation
• Cook and assemble breakfast and lunch items such as omelets, shakes, sandwiches, and salads
• Help prepare take-home dinners
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen
• Wash all dishes, pots, and pans
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards
• Assist with inventory, restocking, and occasional grocery shopping
• Deliver meals to tenant offices and provide friendly customer service
• Lead a simplified menu when the Head Chef is out
