About The Position

Clinica Sierra Vista is seeking an Assistant Controller to join their team. This role involves performing routine accounting functions, supervising the maintenance of accounts and financial records, promoting and improving accounting controls, providing audit trails, assisting with accounting system revisions, preparing reports, and performing other related duties. The Assistant Controller will also assume the duties of the Controller in their absence. Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • College degree with a major in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field providing substantial work in Accounting or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Knowledge of governmental reporting requirements.
  • Ability to establish and maintain fiscal records and procedures.
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive financial reports.
  • Ability to coordinate and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office Programs, advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • On a scheduled basis may be required to work at any Satellite Facility.
  • Reasonable and predictable in person attendance.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule that may include Saturday.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the review, analysis and verification of the fiscal records.
  • Responsible for reviewing and approving general ledger entries and supporting documentation.
  • Sets up G/L accounts in the financial software, as needed.
  • Prepares periodic financial statements and reports.
  • Reviews all contracts and coordinates the generation of YTD contract spreadsheets to Program Directors on a monthly basis.
  • Reviews and approved final payroll summary report.
  • Participates in and coordinates corporate and program audits.
  • Perform other departmental duties as required.
  • Perform introductory and annual employee reviews, competency forms, and provide constructive feedback on their performance to help meet organizational and professional goals.
