As the Assistant Controller, you'll serve as a key finance leader responsible for manufacturing accounting, financial reporting, cost accounting, project accounting, internal controls, and continuous process improvement. Working closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales, Project Management, and executive leadership, you'll help provide the financial insight needed to drive operational excellence and profitable growth. What You'll Do As an Assistant Controller, you'll lead critical accounting functions while serving as a strategic business partner across ENTEK's manufacturing operations. In this role, you will: Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate U.S. GAAP financial reporting Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, estimates, and management reporting Oversee manufacturing accounting, including standard costing, inventory valuation, labor and overhead absorption, production variances, scrap, yield, and inventory reserves Manage project accounting from contract setup through closeout, including budgets, forecasting, profitability analysis, and change order accounting Administer percentage-of-completion revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 Analyze key manufacturing performance metrics, including labor efficiency, material usage, purchase price variance, inventory turns, gross margins, and operational performance Partner with Operations and Engineering to improve plant profitability and support capital investment decisions Prepare budgets, financial forecasts, and operational analyses to support business planning Maintain and strengthen internal controls while supporting annual external audits Lead ERP optimization, automation, and financial process improvement initiatives Support software implementations and continuous improvement projects across the Finance organization Develop, coach, mentor, and support accounting team members while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement Collaborate with executive leadership to provide financial insight that supports strategic decision-making Build strong partnerships with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales, Project Management, and FP&A teams
