About The Position

Join Ocorian’s growing Fund Solutions team, supporting a diverse range of hedge fund, private equity, private credit and venture capital clients across the alternative investment lifecycle. The Assistant Controller works closely with experienced CFO professionals, investment managers and fund clients to provide financial, operational and reporting support to sophisticated investment structures. The role offers an opportunity to broaden technical knowledge and develop industry expertise within a global business supporting more than $85 billion in assets under management. Ocorian provides operational and regulatory services to asset managers, private wealth, corporate and issuer clients. Its Asset Manager Services team combines specialist expertise with scalable technology to help clients manage operational demands, risks and complexity as they grow.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
1–3 years of relevant experience in accounting or financial services, focused on fund accounting or alternative investments, including client-facing experience.
Strong knowledge of GAAP.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in financial software and systems.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Nice To Haves

Experience with financial software such as Power BI and Adaptive.

Responsibilities

Support CFO clients with fund operations, investment accounting and portfolio reporting across alternative investment structures.
Monitor and reconcile investment transactions, coordinating with portfolio managers, counterparties and service providers to support day-to-day operations.
Assist with capital calls, treasury management, investor reporting and other investment fund lifecycle activities.
Review fund valuations, performance reporting and NAV calculations to ensure accurate, high-quality client deliverables.
Collaborate with clients, auditors and internal teams on year-end audits, tax reporting, process improvements and strategic projects.
