About The Position

Supports Controller by documenting, improving, and leading the month-end close process. This role will also develop knowledge of inventory processes and lease accounting and support the Controller on various projects as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent related job experience.
• 5 years of experience in accounting with specific experience working with ERP systems, particularly inventory modules as it pertains to accounting.
• Experience preparing financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Experience leading accounting teams in a professional manner.
• Advanced understanding of GAAP and ERP accounting systems.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, including coaching, performance evaluation and proactive, professional feedback.
• Ability to establish and manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines with attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to create and implement effective solutions to problems.
• Ability to attentively listen and effectively communicate in oral and written format.
• Ability to be flexible in responding to changing needs.

Nice To Haves

• CPA certification desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Controller in the direction of accounting functions including journal entries for accruals and allocations, accounts payable invoice review, and expense allocations.
• Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations and analysis.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly and yearly closing.
• Prepare various support for the annual audit in a timely and accurate manner, while functioning as accounting liaison between the company and auditors.
• Support accounting department improvements by identifying and implementing lean processes, including automation.
• Provide guidance and leadership to accounting team members in collaboration with Controller.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
