About The Position

ViaQuest is hiring a full-time Assistant Controller. ViaQuest provides specialized care and services through Hospice, Psychiatric & Behavioral Solutions, Day & Employment Services, and Residential Services. The Assistant Controller supports the Controller and helps coordinate finance operations, reporting, audits, tax preparation, and process improvement.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• At least five years of experience in the finance field.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with taxes, audits, and GAAP.
• Management experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with leading and coordinating the finance team in preparing for audits.
• Oversee the month-end and financial statement processes to ensure timely, accurate completion, and provide quarterly finance reports to the bank as assigned.
• Provide financial reports to the tax preparation company and help ensure tax information is processed and submitted accurately and on time.
• Ensure balance sheets are reconciled accurately and promptly, covenant compliance is maintained, and cost reports are completed for applicable companies when required.
• Manage departmental software, including creating reports and maintaining the system.
• Oversee the accounts payable team to ensure bills are paid accurately and on time, and oversee information sharing between billing and finance.
• Promote fiscal responsibility, identify process inconsistencies or inefficiencies, and establish process-improvement and quality-assurance solutions.
• Assist with developing and implementing strategic plans and goals, and ensure the finance team conducts trend analysis for its assigned companies.
• Assist the Controller with finance-related legal issues and provide coverage for the Controller position as assigned.
