About The Position

Cash Construction is now hiring for an Assistant Construction Project Manager for current and upcoming work in/near Pflugerville, TX! The Assistant Construction Project Manager reports to and is responsible for assisting the Project Manager and Senior Project Manager with the daily management, supervision, coordination, and successful completion of the project(s) to meet time and cost objectives with respect to contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and contract administration functions. Requirements

Bachelor's Degree preferred (four-year college or technical school)
2+ years’ experience in project management
Proficient in Microsoft Suite and other management software
Organized and detail-oriented
Strong communication skills both oral and written
Ability to multi-task effectively
Self-starter who works well independently
Adaptable and calm under pressure
Take reasonable care of your own and others health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward Cash’s Zero Injury principles

Nice To Haves

Preferred 3-5 years of experience as a Project Engineer and or Assistant Project Manager.
Ability to travel around various projects around the state of Texas.

Responsibilities

Assist the Project Manager in all phases and aspects of the project.
Assist in the development of cost estimates of assigned projects.
Solicit and obtain bids from subcontractors and material suppliers.
Issues subcontractor job kits after approved by the Project Manager and Superintendent.
Assist with preparing the job start-up and close-out checklists.
Prepare the detailed project construction progress schedule in coordination with Superintendent, Project Manager, subcontractors and suppliers. Update the schedule on a monthly basis or as required by the Contract.
Distribute all short interval and overall project schedules. Ensure subcontractors have the most up to date scopes of work. Assist PM in the development of the overall project schedule.
Prepare the Contract Schedule of Values for approval by the Project Manager.
Assist the Project Manager with the preparation of the ACR.
Work to obtain all necessary permits as requested by the PM.
Complete sub evaluations/comparisons of bids, scope review, and complete buyout as requested by PM.
Ensure contracts, insurance, and bonds are current and received before subcontractor performs any work.
Secure properly executed subcontract and purchase order agreements, insurance certificates, bonds and other documents as required to protect the interest of the Company.
Prepare, expedite, and monitor logs for tracking shop drawings, contract documents, submittments, request for information, change orders, material delivery logs and other logs as determined necessary for a successful project.
With the Superintendent, monitor and expedite the delivery of materials.
Assist the Superintendent to ensure that the project is constructed in accordance with the contract requirements and specifications and with the required quality.
Assist the Project Manager in the development of the monthly job status report and participate in the preparation of the ACR.
Complete quantity take-offs as requested by estimating and PM.
Possess working knowledge of all project plans, specifications, contract with Owner, subcontracts, purchase orders, daily correspondence, shop drawings, submittals, and all other project related documents, and maintain a complete and accurate set of as-builts.
Assist in expediting payment from the owner and expedite prompt processing of invoices and prompt payment through to subcontractor for amounts due to them.
Assist in the preparation of change proposals, change orders review, issues change orders to subcontractors and Project Accountant.
Prepare revisions to the master cost breakdown as a result of change orders and management revisions with direction of project manager.
Document potential schedule delays and promptly notify supervision to submit request for extension of time and/or additional costs as per terms of Contract.
Keep the Project Manager fully informed in a timely fashion with regard to any and all problem areas on the project.
Maintain good relationships with the owner, architect, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, municipal authorities and company personnel involved with the project.
Consistently follows/enforces the Company’s safety procedures and policies.
Actively participate and/or lead post-bid, buyout, coordination, lead team, subcontractor, staffing, scheduling and other meetings.
Prepare meeting minutes as directed by Project Manager.
Maintain and Track Project Closeout Activities.
Review project designs and contribute ideas for cutting costs.
Enter information into and manage the digital project databases.
Assist in ensuring compliance with necessary specifications.
Ensure project adheres to set schedule and is meeting goals of the client.
Visit project sites to evaluate progress and to respond to customers’ concerns or questions.
