About The Position

At Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects, you will help develop and deliver factories, grids, transit systems, and public infrastructure. You will work alongside project managers, engineers, technologists, and strategists to transform how capital projects are planned, managed, and executed, creating a better way to build for the future. The role involves supporting project managers in planning, budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration, as well as providing project coordination, field work, and quality control during construction or abatement phases. You will also prepare bidding documents, plans, and specifications for asbestos removal projects and perform asbestos surveys. Responsibilities include written correspondence, record keeping, client communications, reporting project issues, and problem-solving. You will liaise with project leads to maintain project schedule and budget, and function as a project manager on small projects under the guidance of a Senior Project Manager. This includes supervising subcontractors and junior staff, overseeing project aspects, tracking budgets, reviewing invoices, and ensuring project goals are achievable. You will also review project implementation, gather data, coordinate with project managers, provide oversight and quality control during abatement, and perform air monitoring as needed. Additionally, you will be responsible for scheduling, preparing project schedules, cost reports, specifications, drawings, reproducing project documents, and providing drafting supervision. Marketing company services and preparing proposals for new business opportunities are also part of the role, along with staying updated on industry technology and procedures. The work location is onsite at client sites, with some in-person time for collaboration and relationship building. Accenture aims to be flexible in supporting work/life needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil) or construction management, environmental science, or equivalent degree
  • 1-2 years of construction project management experience
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project or Primavera

  • 1 - 2 years working on Municipal Building, Fire Station, Police Station, or Library Construction Experience

Responsibilities

  • Support project managers and senior project managers in planning, budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration in owner’s representative assignments.
  • Provide project coordination, field work, and quality control during the construction or abatement phases of projects.
  • Prepare bidding documents, plans, and specifications for asbestos removal projects and perform asbestos surveys.
  • Be responsible for written correspondence and record keeping for projects assigned.
  • Handle client communications for progress reporting, project coordination, and contract administration.
  • Report to project managers about project issues and problem-solving.
  • Liaise with project lead and other project managers to maintain project schedule and budget.
  • Function as project manager on small projects, working independently but under the guidance or mentoring of a Senior Project Manager.
  • Provide supervision of subcontractors and employees on assigned projects and mentor junior staff.
  • Oversee variable aspects of projects and provide direct assistance to ensure timely project execution.
  • Be responsible for budget tracking and invoice review.
  • Overview project goals and ensure project goals are achievable and assign duties to staff to implement project goals, as needed.
  • Review project implementation, gather data on project execution, and coordinate with project managers and other project leads following project execution.
  • Provide project oversight and quality control during the abatement phase of removal projects.
  • Provide air monitoring during abatement projects, as needed.
  • Provide scheduling and preparation of project schedules, cost reports, specifications, and drawings.
