About The Position

ServiceMaster of Salem is a leading disaster restoration and reconstruction firm serving the greater Salem region across four locations. We restore homes, businesses, and communities following fire, water, and storm events. Our Construction Division is growing — and we’re building the leadership team to match. We’re looking for a sharp, driven construction professional who is ready to step into leadership. As Assistant Division Manager, you will work directly alongside our Operations Manager to sharpen the efficiency and profitability of the Construction Division — coordinating project managers, supporting estimators, and ensuring every job runs on time, on budget, and above client expectations. This is a high-visibility role with a clear path toward Division Manager. You will have real influence over how the division operates — shaping the systems, workflows, and culture we build together.

Requirements

3–7 years of construction project management experience
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and crews simultaneously
Strong working knowledge of construction estimating and job costing
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Experience with project management or scheduling software
Ability to hold teams accountable while maintaining a positive, professional culture

Nice To Haves

Restoration industry experience (fire, water, or storm reconstruction)
Familiarity with Xactimate estimating software
Prior experience in a supervisory or assistant management role

Responsibilities

Oversee job distribution and assignment across the division, matching the right crews and project managers to each project
Run weekly division meetings and lead operational reviews with project managers and estimators
Partner with estimators to review project scopes, budgets, and profitability targets before and during jobs
Identify and drive process improvements that reduce waste and increase division margin
Monitor active projects for schedule adherence, quality standards, and client satisfaction
Support project managers with problem-solving on complex or escalated jobs
Track KPIs and report division performance to the Operations Manager
Help onboard, coach, and develop field staff and project management team members
Coordinate with mitigation, administration, and sales departments for seamless job handoffs
Step in as acting division lead when the Operations Manager is unavailable
