Assistant Community Manager
About The Position
Northland is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support the Community Manager with day-to-day operations at the Cypress Shores community. Cypress Shores is a 300-unit apartment community located in Coconut Creek, FL, offering residents amenities such as a resort-style pool, fitness center, and sports courts. The Assistant Manager will monitor and enforce company policies, assist with staff supervision in the manager's absence, and oversee rent collection and delinquency. This role also involves collaborating with the Community Manager on profitability, cost control, and budget management. Maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service is expected when interacting with residents, vendors, and guests. The Assistant Community Manager will proactively manage escalated concerns to ensure the best living experience for residents.
Requirements
- At least two years of experience in a sales or customer-facing role.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively while adhering to certain deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents, and vendors.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time, climb, bend, and squat.
- Must be able to occasionally push, pull, lift, and carry weights up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work inside and outside in all weather conditions.
Nice To Haves
- Hospitality or property management experience is strongly preferred.
- Working weekend shifts may be required.
- Travel may be required to assist other properties as needed, or to attend training classes.
- May be required to operate a golf cart to travel around the property.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Assist with the supervision of leasing and maintenance staff in the absence of the manager.
- Oversee rent collection and delinquency.
- Collaborate with the Community Manager on profitability, cost control, and maintaining the operating budget.
- Proactively manage any concerns escalated to management.
