Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in residential construction management required.
  • Must possess organizational and time management skills.
  • Must possess good interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office products (Word and Excel).
  • Valid Driver’s License with good driving record.
  • Valid auto insurance coverage.
  • Knowledge of practices and procedures of construction and building codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Nice To Haves

  • Some college preferred.
  • Relevant Management experience desired.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the construction of homes in assigned communities under the supervision of the Community Construction Manager.
  • Assist the Community Construction Manager with trade partner scheduling, notification, and invoice approval using Builder Software.
  • Schedule and supervise daily trade partner activities in accordance with schedules and signed scopes of work.
  • Inspect work to ensure compliance with local requirements, building codes, and approved architectural plans.
  • Ensure all work performed by trade partners meets or exceeds Davidson Homes quality standards.
  • Plan and schedule all construction activities from pre-construction to completion.
  • Conduct pre-construction meetings and New Home Orientations/Final Walks with customers.
  • Deliver a "Zero Defect" home at the time of New Home Orientation and obtain full customer sign-off prior to Close of Escrow.
  • Manage and maintain completed inventory homes, models, and communities.
  • Oversee the construction, inspection, and scheduling of the entire home to ensure completion within the allotted cycle time.
  • Provide trade partner feedback to the supervisor regarding performance.
  • Manage and minimize base home extra costs (VPOs).
  • Maintain records of all change orders, purchase orders, and inspections in the assigned community.
  • Complete all trade partner POs in Builder Software upon satisfactory completion of work and validate material deliveries.
  • Walk assigned homes daily.
  • Ensure timeliness in processing trade partner invoices.
  • Keep daily schedules current and maintain a timely and accurate flow of paperwork.
  • Ensure job site cleanliness, safety, and ADEM compliance.
  • Attend construction and team meetings weekly.
  • Manage a high volume of homes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
