About The Position

The Commercial Lines Assistant Account Manager provides essential support to the Account Management team in servicing and maintaining commercial client accounts. This role is best suited for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys working as part of a team to deliver consistent, high-quality service.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of commercial lines insurance experience or related background
  • Property & Casualty license, or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • Applied Epic experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of commercial insurance coverages and terminology
  • Experience in an independent agency environment
  • Ability to manage competing priorities with accuracy and follow-through

Responsibilities

  • Support Account Managers in servicing a book of commercial lines business
  • Prepare certificates of insurance, policy changes, and related documentation
  • Assist with renewals and new business processing
  • Communicate with carriers regarding policy updates, underwriting requests, and billing inquiries
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in the agency management system
  • Respond to client requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Review policies and endorsements for accuracy
  • Assist clients with billing-related inquiries and coordinate with carriers to resolve discrepancies
