About The Position

Annapolis Area Christian School (AACS) is seeking an Assistant Coach for all sports. This position offers a unique opportunity to help shape the future of athletics at AACS. Coaches work collaboratively to establish the culture, developmental standards, and long-term vision for athletics across the school. The departmental mission is to build programs defined by an excellent training environment, strong relationships with families, and a commitment to long-term player development, rooted in discipleship. AACS believes sport is a powerful space for developing character, resilience, discipline, and leadership. All coaches must profess faith in Jesus Christ and be actively involved in a local church. Our athletic programs are committed to elite training, long-term player development, spiritual formation through sport, alignment across middle and high school programs, and collaboration across coaches, families, and the broader school community. Requirements

Agreement with the AACS Statement of Faith
Prior coaching experience at the high school, club, or collegiate level.
Knowledge of the game and the ability to teach technical, tactical, and mental aspects of the sport.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
CPR/First Aid Training Certification (or willingness to obtain prior to the season).
Ability to work collaboratively with school administration and other coaches.

Responsibilities

Assist in planning and conducting practices, drills, and game strategies
Provide individualized coaching and feedback to players
Support the head coach during competitions, including lineup decisions and in-competition adjustments, as appropriate to the sport.
Maintain open communication with players, parents, and coaching staff
Uphold and enforce team rules and school athletic policies
Ensure player safety and proper use of equipment
