About The Position

Under supervision, the Assistant Volleyball Coach supports the head coach in coaching, operations, recruiting, and fundraising. This position is renewable for the next academic year, conditional upon satisfactory performance, availability of funds, and adherence to all Post University academic requirements and employment protocols. The Assistant Coach assists in planning and directing student-athlete training and assesses individuals' abilities and skill levels to determine appropriate team positions; assists players in reaching the highest athletic potential possible through athletic training and leadership skills. Must be familiar with NCAA rules and regulations. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a specified sport. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Post University is a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) member.

Requirements

Working knowledge of NCAA Division I/II rules.
Collegiate coaching and/or playing experience.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
A valid U.S. driver's license
Ability to work both traditional and non-traditional business hours.
Playing experience at the NCAA level.
Required to work at least 20 hours per week during the academic school year based on the credit hours attempted.

Responsibilities

Input compliance information into Frontrush software.
Assist the head coach in scouting opponents.
Break down and evaluate film through Hudl.
Support a positive and competitive team environment.
Be involved in on-campus recruiting visits.
Assist with community service initiatives and program fundraising efforts.
Perform other duties as assigned; may have other duties assigned in the athletic department as needed.
