About The Position

Serve as assistant coach for men's and women's swimming and diving. Work with the head coach to develop and implement recruiting strategies, assess future team needs, and identify schools and individuals to target. Assist in evaluating prospective student-athletes in accordance with NYU, NCAA, and University Athletic Association rules and regulations. Contact parents, high school and club coaches, and prospective students to evaluate athletic ability, academic aptitude, and interest in NYU. In consultation with the head coach, NYU Admissions, and the Academic Affairs Advisor, develop student-athlete profiles and recommend reviews of prospective student-athletes' academic potential. Assist with developing and executing practice, training, and competition schedules, and ensure compliance with NCAA, UAA, and NYU regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Lifeguard certification.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• CPR certification.
• First Aid certification.
• Automatic External Defibrillator certification.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree.
