About The Position

The University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) is recruiting for an Assistant Coach, Swimming and Diving. The Assistant Coach is responsible for supporting all aspects of the Swimming and Diving program, including the instruction and development of student-athletes in sport-specific techniques, training methods, conditioning, and competition strategies. This position assists with practice planning and implementation, student-athlete skill development, and fostering a positive and competitive team culture. Additional responsibilities include assisting with the recruitment and retention of student-athletes, supporting academic success and personal development, promoting the program through public relations and community engagement activities, and assisting with daily program operations and administration. The Assistant Coach may also support travel coordination, compliance-related activities, and other operational duties as assigned by the Head Coach.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) years of related work experience OR Master’s Degree and one (1) year of related work experience
  • Team coaching experience and/or playing experience (at the high school, Junior College, NAIA, NCAA I, II, III, or higher level)
