About The Position

The Assistant Roller Hockey Coach in the Athletic Department, reporting to the Associate Director of Athletics, collaborates with the athletics department advisor and team leaders to set goals, develop budgets, evaluate organizational needs, problem-solve, and serve as a liaison with other college departments essential to program implementation and success. This is a part-time, seasonal position and is a fantastic opportunity to work with a thriving collegiate club to play a key role in the club's continued development and success. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Providing instruction, mentoring and guidance to student athletes to allow them to develop their athletic skills and abilities to maximum potential.
  • Evaluating athletic ability and performance.
  • Assuring that equipment and practice plans are prepared in advance of practice sessions.
  • Maintaining positive and professional relations with students, athletes, and alumni.
  • Ability to teach safe and proper technique to beginning level players while challenging and integrating the skills of higher-level players.
  • Be an active participant in the life of the College by attending and supporting key events like Commencement, Homecoming, and other all-hands-on-deck gatherings.
  • Show a spirit of collaboration and community involvement, including volunteering when possible.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Coordinate scheduling, meals, transportation, etc for all team trips in conjunction with the head coach.
  • Track team expenses and process invoices.
