About The Position

Bryant & Stratton College is seeking an Assistant Men's Soccer Coach to join their competitive athletic program. This role involves contributing to the overall development and advancement of the soccer program while upholding high standards of sportsmanship and ethical conduct. The Assistant Coach will work under the supervision of the Athletic Director and Head Soccer Coach, assisting in all facets of the program, including recruiting, holding tryouts, and coaching the intercollegiate soccer team. A key responsibility is ensuring compliance with USCAA rules and student-athlete eligibility requirements. The position requires travel with the team, professional conduct as a representative of the college, and supervision of staff and student-athletes to ensure their safety. The Assistant Coach will also play a crucial role in promoting academic success by monitoring student-athlete performance and encouraging high academic standards. Flexible hours for practice and recruiting are necessary, along with assisting in the scheduling, organization, supervision, and conducting of practices and games. Driving vans to soccer games may also be required, and other duties may be assigned by the Head Coach and Athletic Director.

Requirements

  • Soccer coaching experience at the high school level or above.
  • Clean driving record and a valid Driver License.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, planning and leadership skills.
  • Must be able to serve as a positive role model for young adults.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Coach in all aspects of the soccer program.
  • Recruit players and hold tryouts.
  • Coach the intercollegiate soccer team.
  • Become knowledgeable of all The United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) soccer rules, including student-athlete eligibility requirements.
  • Travel with the team unless alternate arrangements have been approved.
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times as a representative of the College.
  • Supervise staff and student-athletes while traveling to ensure their safety.
  • Promote the academic success of student-athletes by monitoring academic performance and ensuring eligibility requirements are met.
  • Encourage student-athletes to maintain a high academic standard.
  • Assist with scheduling, organizing, supervising, and conducting all practices and games.
  • May be required to drive vans to soccer games.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and Athletic Director.
