About The Position

Quinnipiac University's Department of Athletics invites applications for an Assistant Coach, Men's Cross Country to assist in program management including coaching, recruitment and coordination of a collegiate Division I Men’s Cross Country Program. This is a part-time, non-benefits-eligible position. Requirements

1-2 years of relevant work experience
Ability to run a practice with necessary cross country runner knowledge and skills
Ability to effectively communicate with the University community
Valid Driver’s License
Ability to pass NCAA recruiting certification test
Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and video editing
Proven leadership ability
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, student-athletes and potential recruits and their families
Excellent communication, written and oral skills
Demonstrated commitment to NCAA Division I guidelines and regulations
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds

Responsibilities

Adhere to the highest standards of academic integrity and work in compliance with all University, NCAA and Conference rules and regulations
Coach student-athletes, maintain a safe and challenging environment that will challenge and develop the physical, mental, and personal abilities of student athletes
Administer and manage all phases of a competitive Division I Men’s Cross Country Program
Assist with recruiting (on and off campus as assigned)
Assist in the future development of Men’s Cross Country alumni and community relations
Assist the Head Coach with daily/weekly/seasonal practice planning
Weekend travel and supervision
Other duties, as assigned
