About The Position

The University of Maine at Farmington is seeking an Assistant Alpine Coach for the Men’s and Women’s Teams. This role involves bringing bold ideas, enthusiasm, and a winning mindset to the team, exploring the alpine racing world, and fueling the drive for victory. The coach will amp up athlete motivation, lead dynamic workouts, and be the creative force behind practices and team events. They will also tackle travel and logistics to support high-performance results.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with sports skills and principles to teach and provide feedback for alpine ski racing.
  • Valid driver's license (in good standing, based on UMS standards).
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, and weekends for practices and competitions.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, dependability, and integrity, strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor's degree.
  • Previous collegiate competitive or coaching experience, particularly in Alpine skiing.
  • Experience with sports recruiting.
