About The Position
Portsmouth High School is seeking an Assistant Coach for the Boys Soccer team for the Fall 2026-2027 school year. The fall season is expected to run from approximately August 17, 2026, to November 15, 2026, with a potential for extension. This is a stipend position.
Requirements
- NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching (includes RIIL Rules and Regulations Test)
- Valid First Aid certification (renew every 2 years)
- Valid CPR certification (in-person only, renew every 2 years)
- NFHS Concussion certification (renew annually)
- NFHS Sudden Cardiac Arrest certification (renew annually)
- NFHS Protecting Students from Abuse certification
Responsibilities
- Assist in coaching the Boys Soccer team during the fall season.
- Ensure athletes have required coaching certifications.
- Potentially extend coaching duties beyond the regular season if needed.
