About The Position
Portsmouth Middle School is seeking an Assistant Coach for the Boys Soccer team for the 2026-2027 Fall season. The season is expected to run from approximately August 24, 2026, to November 1, 2026, with a potential for extension. This is an annual appointment coaching position.
Requirements
- NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching (includes RIIL Rules and Regulations Test)
- Valid First Aid certification (renew every 2 years)
- Valid CPR certification (renew every 2 years) - IN PERSON ONLY
- NFHS Concussion certification (renew annually)
- NFHS Sudden Cardiac Arrest certification (renew annually)
- NFHS Protecting Students from Abuse certification
Responsibilities
- Assist the head coach in all aspects of the boys' soccer program.
- Provide guidance and instruction to student-athletes.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all players.
- Uphold the values and standards of Portsmouth Middle School.
