About The Position

The Assistant Coach Boys Soccer is responsible for teaching the fundamentals and skills of soccer, organizing and running practice sessions, and teaching the rules and regulations of the sport. The coach must also display and teach good sportsmanship, assist in maintaining and managing equipment, and supervise players at all times. They are required to notify the athletic director of any injuries within 24 hours, comply with all relevant rules and regulations, and attend all coaches' meetings, practices, and contests. Additionally, the coach must provide for eye care and injury prevention, communicate program expectations to student-athletes and parents, and establish and maintain consistent standards of behavior.

Requirements

  • Knowledge in particular sport based upon experience as a participant and/or coach
  • Must meet RIIL/RIPCOA coaching certification and training requirements
  • Demonstrated ability in recognizing that the growth and development of each student -athlete requires meeting their individual needs
  • Meet all RIIL Coaching Requirements
  • Applicants must be 3 years removed from high school

  • A combination of a few years of playing and coaching experience

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain consistent standards and behavior
