About The Position

This position serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor and Assistant Director of Fieldwork and Accreditation. The role involves overseeing fieldwork, ensuring accreditation standards are met, and contributing to the academic and administrative functions of the program.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Education or a related field.
  • Valid California teaching credential (Education Specialist and/or Multiple Subject preferred).
  • Minimum of five (5) years of successful P–12 teaching experience.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in supervision, fieldwork coordination, or credentialing.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of California TPEs, TPAs, and CTC credentialing standards.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to interpret and apply complex credentialing and policy requirements.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage high-stakes deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, school partners, and university leadership.
  • Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
  • Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.

Nice To Haves

  • Administrative credential desirable.
  • Doctorate in Education or related field.
  • Experience supervising or managing professional staff.
  • Experience with accreditation, compliance reporting, and program assessment.
  • Experience with university systems such as Banner, Argos, OnBase, Salesforce, DegreeWorks, and supervision platforms.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise fieldwork experiences for students.
