About The Position

Ridgeview Institute Monroe is seeking a motivated, dependable, and dedicated Assistant Chief Nursing Officer/Infection Control (ACNO) - Registered Nurse to join their close-knit and compassionate team. This role involves assessing, coordinating, and evaluating patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members, adhering to the nursing process and standards of care. The ACNO will assist in developing, implementing, and revising corporate, facility, and Nursing Services policies and procedures, reviewing the progress, quality, and effectiveness of nursing programs, and evaluating nursing care practices. They will also formulate plans for new programs and changes to existing ones, initiate or utilize studies and research applicable to nursing services development, and ensure all Nursing Services programs maintain current departmental manuals. A key responsibility includes maintaining active involvement and awareness of all patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.

Requirements

  • A graduate of an appropriately accredited school of nursing.
  • Licensed by the State to practice as a Registered Nurse.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the principles of epidemiology and infectious disease in the hospital.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
  • A thorough knowledge of The Joint Commission, CMS, OSHA regulations and all other state and federal regulatory standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with infection control preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing, implementing and revising corporate, facility and Nursing Services policies and procedures within the guidelines of the Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of the facility and taking into consideration the recommendations of the CEO, CMO, CNO and the Director of Clinical Services and the nursing staff.
  • Assist in reviewing the progress, quality and effectiveness of all nursing programs.
  • Assist in evaluating nursing care practices, formulate plans for new programs and changes to existing programs, and initiate and/or utilize studies and research applicable to the development of nursing services.
  • Ensure all Nursing Services programs maintain current departmental manuals.
  • Maintain an active involvement and awareness of all patient admissions, discharges and transfers.
