About The Position
Marquette Management Inc. is looking for an Assistant Chief Engineer in Chicago, IL. The Assistant Chief position plays a key role in effectively accomplishing the goal of providing residents with a clean, well maintained living environment. This is a UNION POSITION.
Requirements
- Previous maintenance experience, preferably in the apartment or hotel industry
- Excellent customer service skills
- General computer knowledge
- Experience with plumbing, electrical, appliances, and apartment turns
Nice To Haves
- HVAC or EPA Universal Certification
- Availability for on-call purposes
- Flexibility and ability to work weekends when necessary
Responsibilities
- General repairs to the apartments and common areas of the buildings and grounds
- Vacant apartment preparation
- Snow and trash removal
- Emergency repairs
- Cleaning
- Landscaping
- Ordering maintenance equipment and supplies
- Record keeping
- Accepting deliveries
- Moving appliances
- Other job-related duties
