About The Position
This role is for a Mid-level engineer with strong technical depth, functioning as a Systems thinker with the ability to operate cross-functionally. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can ramp up quickly with minimal training and will have a mix of technical and program coordination responsibilities. This is a 100% onsite contract role at CTC with potential for conversion to full-time. Candidates from adjacent industries (e.g., aerospace) are open if experienced with similar systems and able to ramp quickly. Authorization to work in the United States is required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or related engineering field (Mechanical, Mechatronics acceptable with relevant experience)
- 5–10 years of experience in automotive engineering
- Prior DRE experience (required as background, not role function)
- Strong experience with control modules / controller hardware systems
- Knowledge of electromechanical systems, sensors, and actuators
- Experience with CAN communication protocols and EE architecture
- Familiarity with automotive development processes (DFMEA, validation, issue resolution)
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Nice To Haves
- Experience with software calibration or controls integration
- Systems engineering or technical project leadership experience
- Experience supporting multi-domain integration (hardware + software)
- Master's degree
