About The Position

This position is an Extra Duty/Extra Pay (EDEP) role for an Assistant Cheer Coach at Truman Middle School. The coach is responsible for ensuring a safe environment for students, adhering to district and school policies, securing the meeting space, and maintaining the facility. This role requires meeting outside of normal school hours, contacting parents about absences, and tracking attendance. The salary is based on a stipend schedule following the 2026-2027 student calendar.

Requirements

• Must be able to meet outside of the normal school day.
• Must be able to keep hours/attendance on the provided sheet and return to the office at the end of each semester.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe environment for students to conduct their meeting/activity.
• Ensure that district and school policies and procedures are followed.
• Ensure that room/area is secured and the facility is left in good repair.
• Reserve space for practices as appropriate.
• Meet outside of the normal school day.
• Contact parents if students are absent more than twice without parent notice.
• Keep hours/attendance on the provided sheet & return to the office at the end of each semester.
