About The Position

The Assistant Center Manager reports to the Center Manager and, in their absence, holds ultimate responsibility for all center operations, including production, quality compliance, finance, HR, and IT. This role ensures compliance with Company SOPs and applicable regulations, participates in data collection and analysis for quality, efficiency, and profitability, and collaborates with the center manager on quality compliance to meet company, regulatory, and customer requirements. The Assistant Center Manager also works with quality personnel to develop corrective action plans, ensures compliance with OSHA regulations and training, and manages employee recruitment, training, counseling, and termination. Additionally, this role supports the center's marketing and advertising efforts and may require overnight travel up to 10%. A significant part of the role involves leading onsite training activities for new centers, including daily debrief sessions, monitoring training efficiency, and ensuring Designated Trainers effectively deliver process knowledge. The Assistant Center Manager provides oversight of training team employee relations, communicates effectively with HR, and supports Designated Trainers through coaching and using Adult Learning Styles. They coordinate with multiple new center leadership teams, provide feedback on trainee progression, minimize training impact on operations, and ensure effective communication throughout the training process. The role also involves modeling good customer service, communicating openly with customers, resolving complaints, and collaborating with center management to ensure excellent customer service from new staff and trainers. Responsibilities include facilitating training materials, ensuring training site setup, developing training scenarios, and potentially working extended hours and weekends. Other job-related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree OR equivalent combination of education and professional work experience required
  • Minimum 1 year supervisory or leadership experience responsible for overseeing the activities of a team/others

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all Company SOPs and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Participate in collecting and analyzing data to maintain center quality, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Collaborate with the center manager to assist with quality compliance by meeting company, regulatory and customer requirements to safeguard the purity and efficacy of the plasma and the safety of donors and employees.
  • Work with quality personnel and QA team to develop corrective action plans to address any areas of deficiency noted during audits.
  • Ensure the center and all employees comply with OSHA regulations and training and complete all OSHA record keeping and reporting.
  • Employee recruitment, training, counseling, and termination, and corrective action programs.
  • Support the center's marketing and advertising efforts.
  • Leads all onsite training activities for new center training.
  • Leads daily debrief sessions with trainers and center leadership in order to determine training progress.
  • Makes necessary training adjustments to ensure training is delivered in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Monitors training efficiency by ensuring training completion rates meet established targets.
  • Provides progress reports to Manager, New Center Support.
  • Schedules new center training team to match onsite training needs.
  • Monitors trainers performance to ensure they meet daily goals.
  • Ensure that the new center Designated Trainers are effectively delivering process knowledge to all staff members.
  • Monitor training to ensure that it is compliant with company SOP and HSE policies.
  • Provide oversight of training team employee relations issues and will collaborate with Manager, New Center Support.
  • Adhere to all HR policies and practices through fair and equitable treatment of all employees.
  • Communicates effectively with HR to ensure HR compliance.
  • Provides support and guidance to Designated Trainers by effective training and coaching.
  • Uses Adult Learning Styles to coach Designated Trainers on challenging training situations.
  • Collaborates with Manager, New Center Support and/or L&D as needed.
  • Coordinate with multiple new center leadership teams to evaluate new training team performance.
  • Provides feedback on trainees training progression.
  • Minimizes training distraction or impact to operational center.
  • Ensure effective communication between new center leadership, Manager New Center Support, Designated Trainers and Trainees during the training process.
  • Provide a model of good customer service to employees.
  • Communicate openly with customers.
  • Effectively resolve complaints or concerns.
  • Collaborate with center management to ensure excellent customer service by all new staff and trainers.
  • Facilitates new center training materials.
  • Ensures that training site is set up and maintained properly.
  • Develops training scenarios.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.
